Flagged Games/Matches
Hi Greg.
Here's an idea. I'd really like to be able to set a flag for either a game or a match. This flag should show up on all my lists, perhaps in it's own column or right alongside the game number. I would use this flag to note games I want to pay close attention to, so that when they show up in my home page list, my games list, or my all-games list, I know which ones to do first.
Could be an icon, or even just a "*" next to the game number. Anything.
The tournament is a great example. I'd like to flag them so that I remember to "move these first" since there's a set number of days. Others I would set would be for those that are extremely fun all of the sudden.
It would be a private flag, like the comments are, showing only to me; not my opponents. (Could show to my opponents; I don't care about that. My point is that it's something that would vary by player/game, not be general to the game.)
Thanks,
Bob

I would agree with this last comment, and go one further to suggest that the "my games" page be made to look like the short list from the home page, i.e., that it would include the game i.d.
I hesitate to make this suggestion, because my initial reaction to the thread was negative, in that there are probably many different ways people use to manage their games, and certainly gmiller can't be expected to be responsive to each of those. (Lucky for the world that I don't have anything to do with designing automobiles, I guess.) But, I think there is some logic in having the game listing on the two pages made to look alike.

Hi Greg
I found this chain after posting my recent message regarding notepad on 'My games'. There are a lot more good ideas in this chain but like Sonrisante's point below, I normally select games from the 'My games' view, not the main page so the notepad really would be a great feature there. Regards

It would be helpful if you could also add the NOTES column to the "My Games" list. The main page only lists the 10 games with the least amount of time left. The page with all my active moves is the one I tend to drive from, and having it on that page would be most helpful.
Thanks again.

Greg:
I see that the NOTES column is now available in the My Games list. This is great; thanks for adding it.
I'm noticing, however, that a lot of games that don't have notes are showing up with notes. I'm wondering if perhaps it's showing me my opponents' notes? Probably not, because they don't look like notes as much as a form of board layout.
One of my games with a note isn't showing up right (at this point I think I'm helping you debug a code issue; if not feel free to disregard the post). Game g1104812977 has a note of "P: 5 to 7", but shows only a note of "P", and the next game in the list shows a note of "5 to 7".
Well, as I'm typing this, I see that the contents of the notes are changing, so you're probably coding it at this very moment. So let me sign off and just say thanks again, this will be a great feature you're adding.
