Long time no play

Post by tbrennan » Thu May 06, 2004 5:01 pm

Hey all,

Haven't been on for months but wanted you to know I'm okay. Stopped playing back in August (I think...) when my five year old son's health took a not unexpected turn for the worse. He died in September, and I just haven't had much interest (or, honestly, time) since for chess. Hard hard months, but my wife and I are doing as well as can be expected. I may get back into it yet, but, if not, thanks for the hundreds of games and for all of the friendly chat-

My condolences

Tim,

I feel deeply sorry for you and your wife. I can’t find any words to express my compassion and my sadness. If a child passes away it’s a part of our own life we’re losing. Once again I express my deepest sympathy with you and your wife and if ever you feel like playing chess might be some kind of distraction I’d be happy if you challenged me.

Regards and condolences
Hans

Dear Tim,

It breaks my heart to learn of your loss.
There are no words that can reach and salve that innermost hurt
carried by you and your wife.
I wish for you both the solace that time promises to bring.
My sincere condolences,
David

Tim -

I, too, want to offer my condolances. Having 5 children of my own, I can't imangine the pain you and your wife must've gone through. Take care, my friend.

Love and light and blessings to you and your family.

Tim,

I send you and your family love and light.

My son, Robin, was born in 1966 and died in 1967 from a birth defect.

I recently (April 2004) learned that Robin died so that I could learn to let go of things and people that I tend to wrongfully cling to. I also learned that Robin (his spirit) is still very much alive is very happy where he is now.

Many blessings,

bluerook
