Draw Offer Cleared with Reset

Post by brutalsacop » Thu Jul 04, 2013 6:22 am

I can't really suggest improvemements to this nice chess site, but if anyone insisted, I would have suggested that the Reset button should also clear the "Draw" field, if selected.

In this R + P v. R ending for example, http://net-chess.com/game/g1105151604 the game was a dead draw, and 'Draw" was clicked. Then I then saw that if Black captures the pawn on move 77, he loses the rook, and I decided to take a chance. I therefore clicked Reset, reinput the move, and clicked "Move", unintentionally also offering my opponent a draw at the same time.

I would have preferred it if 'Reset' cleared the 'Draw' field as well, but I realise that other players may prefer it the way that it is working now.

Thanks

You're sure he loses the rook?

I'm Not Sure, and I have the tattoo to prove it.

I too would like to see this changed, I've offered a few unintentional draws when I suddenly realized I had a win!

However, in the linked game, 77...Rxb4 and the only try is 78.Rc7+ when 78...Rc4 saves the day.

I'll put this in the updated board I'm "working" on, at least I hope to get some time to work on it soon.

I've tried "accept draw" in my game number g1105305044 but get an error message every time. Help!

There should not be a space between the two words.
