Losing on time when site would not allow me on.

Post by dontcare » Mon Nov 30, 2015 12:45 am

For the last few days, I have not been able to get on the site. I now have lost a game on time due to it. Is there anything that can be done with that?

I take it the system was down for the weekend for maintenance? It didn't effect me, as I play games using a longer time control, and always log in many times each day to check and see if it's my turn. I have played at other websites, but this one is my favorite, and I will keep playing here till I'm too old and feeble. Keep up the good work.

Does this mean we're off his Christmas card list, George?

I do so believe, Cliff.
If he is so unhappy here--and he is--
why doesn't he just f-f-f-f-fade away?

I wonder also, George.

It puzzles me why there are certain players here that seem to always find something to hate about Net-Chess, but they never go away.

Maybe there's a rule of thumb that there have to be some 'moaners' on every site, in every forum?

Oh well, they do tend to generate posts, don't they?

Yes it's too bad.
Most of the people seem to be quite all knotted-up into themselves.
Incapable of sending a greeting or responding to one.
No one seems interested in discussing anything or exchanging ideas.
I will say, though, that I HAVE met several nice, civilized people.
As for our friend, the link sums up the situation:
part one--him
part two--unfortunately, it DID happen to us...

Cheers, Cliff

How true! I guess it's an easy trap to fall into, George.
Every so often, in the forum, one of these little threads start, usually a complainer, and I suppose the responses to the usual idiocy of the complaints make for an easy target!
Personally, as you said, I've found that there's a vast majority of intelligent, polite, and civil people here!
