Not Again!!!!

Post by langelli » Tue Oct 02, 2012 9:42 pm

It's my pet peeve, and it's happening again. Been playing someone, and I won't mention names, who up to now has made 1 or 2 moves a day. Now he finds himself in an undesirable position and has reduced his response time to once or twice a week. I know he has the right to use his time as he sees fit, but what about sportsmanlike conduct? Be a man, and belly up to the bar. Anyway, venting helps and thanks for listening.............

I hope you feel better.
Unfortunately, he is within his right. If it gets way out of hand you might consider sending Greg a message and he may help you out.
In the meantime... try not to think about it and remember that he is hit with these games waiting for his move EVERY time he logs on.

Thanks for the comforting words. I know he has to look at the game every time he logs in. I just don't understand being a poor sport. Believe me, I've learned to expect it every now and then. You know, in life, one expects others to behave the way they would. However, that's not always the case. When I do something stupid, like throw away a queen, it sometimes takes me a day to get over it emotionally. But, I do get over it in a day at most, and I resume normal play.

You shouldn't let it bother you...I mean if his position is that bad he it's anticlimactic and either he resigns or the time control gets him. Either way you win.

Lou when I crushed David and Gerald(gkthomas) and Josh and Eugene and Cliff and Nils, and Asoka and Katagamsky and Knightmare, they all did the same thing. After they bowed at my feet, stated I am the best, I can beat Fischer and Kasparov.... oh sorry just woke up lol    8)

But seriously, F em is what I say. They are losing you are winning. Look at it that way.

Brian is DEFINITELY the 'spices' in the stew here.
Sometimes they are good, sometimes not...
But they sure take the boring taste out of the stew!
I agree...
Brian, don't ever change.
