I'd be might surprised if not ChessBomb wasn't covering this. Likewise with ChessGames, but personally I like the ChessBomb interface better. Both should be free.

I am a bit surprised, both players do not want to risk anything.
Gelfand surprised Anand and us with openings he never played before, but than he do not use his theoretical advantage.
In my eyes when player G knows the current opening better than player A. Than G should be able to play it more complex and not try to simplify the position.

Maybe that's the reason why both are super GMs and I am only a louzy chess player

with 18. Bd2 Gelfand got back the pawn and the position was very drawish

Gelfand still does not risk anything. 18.Qe2 could be very interesting

When you post: 18. Bd2 0.36/0, what does 0.36/0 mean exactly?
Excuse the question if it too basic, but I was just curious. I would assume it is something about position strength/weakness or winning chances.

Yesterday Kasparov was there and commented the game, very funny:

Position after 30.Rd2. Kasparov thought Anand should have thought for 20 minutes here. Not his best suggestion, Anand had only 10 minutes left.

0.36 is the computer rating - it means 0.36 pawns ahaed but I dont know what /0 means.

0.36 Pawns ahead?! LOLOL! Heck sometimes I don't know when I am even getting slaughtered... e.g. any game vs DavidSWhite.
So, 0.0 is dead even and I assume 1.0 means a Pawn ahead, etc.
I think that knowing such a 'score' would be a real distraction. But that is just a computer estimation and no real chess player would be really interested in a 0.36 Pawn (dis)advantage when they have prospects of a winning combination.
Sounds like its actually useless like most of those sports statistics they throw at you (especially baseball announcers) to help you to realize that you know nothing even after watching the sport for 40 years and you never will.
I don't remember and 0.36 whatever in my days of truly studying Chess. It was weighted symbols like, +/-, =, etc and of course everyone had to learn the 'language' of Chess Informant! Having been brought up on Descriptive Notation, I had to learn a whole different 'chess language' along with 4 gazillion new symbols.
And to be honest with you, some of those symbols are still secretive to this day!

Both have won a game! Match even 4-4!!

In case of a draw they will play on Wednesday the tie-break, note the tie-break will start sooner than the other games.
