On the first one, I would take the pawn on d5 with my knight. Depending on where the opponent moves the queen I could either move the knight to b6, capture the pawn on f6 or move my rook to c7. But the queen could capture the rook on c1 and it would be a trade of a knight and rook for a queen.

On the second one, I would capture the knight with the bishop. If the opponent takes it with the pawn I would move my pawn to d6.

Is that the right answer? Or is this why my rating is so low?
