1:Ra8+ KxR 2:Rc8++ Sorry I could not find a mate on whites first move. Easy mate there though.

You've got that right Ghorn.

As for the difficulty, I search through the SlowChess game archive for positions. Sometimes its easy to find nice positions, though most of the times I have to backtrack moves and variations to see where it all started.
And with this, I have to admit I sometimes call it a night and take the easy way, maybe with some pieces removed or added or a sidemove variation which creates the problem.

With this one, I hoped people would search for a mate with a pawn and/or queen move first, which in this case would take a couple of moves more to mate.
But it wasn't so in your case. :)

For compensation, I've posted a position which is on the high end.
