Here is a puzzle which I just created. There are three ways to do it, but two only differ on the mating move. Test your skill!

Only one I found was 1.Bf4+ Ne5 2.Bxe5+ Ka8 3.Nc7#

Bf4 is indeed only move. But he probably means that black can also play Ka8 instead of Ne5 and visa versa after Ne8+

Yes, Black can also play Ka8 to avoid check. This branch is exactly the same length as the other though. And as pointed out above it does start 1.Bf4+ Ka8...

The only mate in 5 I saw was, 1.Bf4+ Ka8 2.Nc7+ Kb8 3.Ne8+ Ka8 4.Rc8+ Nb8 5.Nc7 mate!

I take that back, Black could play 1.......Ne5, and White would mate with 5.Rc8 mate. Sorry! :oops:

Well, thats what I get for not reading the other post. telymewise says Black could wait and play Ne5 on his 3rd move! :oops: :oops:
