The offensive player is saying that with this move the e5-square is "mine"! The c6-square is so weak, the Defensive player is obligated to exchange and he has a plan. But not a very good one. In difficult positions it is easy to make mistakes. We all do it. When the pressure mounts and our options run thin it is easy to do. Make mistakes that is.
