But... if white does BxP, it would force QxB. Then white could capture the bishop with the pawn and there is no real advantage gained.

What about starting with N-K5? It would force the queen to move and would add an extra piece to the attack.

After 1...Bxg3 2. Bxc6+ Kf8. White still has to deal with the same threats as before: 3...Bh2#. If 3.fxg3 then 3...Qxg3+ 4.Qg2 Qxg2#.

Rd1 would be better to create the escape space on e1 for white. the f1 square isn't enough for to survive.
