That's odd, your moves weren't getting logged. It looks like you're using the slowchess.com URL (rather than net-chess.com) but that "shouldn't" make a difference. I've made a change, so we'll see if that helps.

Your moves are getting logged now.

It looks like a lot of people weren't being included on the daily move players. All of your moves will still count towards the all-time top move players as those stats are pulled from the archive database rather than the move log. I've also changed the move log to use a database rather than a flat file, so I'm pretty sure it should be working correctly now.

Why is it important to know how many moves a person makes. A thousand clunkers is a thousand clunkers. Isn't it the quality of the moves that are important. If you have made a high quality move---that would be worth memorializing.

I fully agree to your point, juselton.

But it takes all kinds of people to make the world. Some want to play as many games as possible, some want to play their games as fast as possible, for others the win-loss-record is important, or they say that the rating is their favourite aim. Others just want to play or improve their OTB-play by checking out other opening lines.

If anyone has fun to be on top of the moves-statistic - why not?

I'm curious; what's the measurement period for the top moves. It can't be a day, right?

It's only one day, but there seems to be a problem with some moves getting counted twice or even three times. Even though the numbers may be off, the ranking should be roughtly accurate.
