Hey All you chess playing men and women folk:)

I have been thinking about another decent thematic tournament to delight and provide us qwiith some competition...

Here are the choices Im thinking about that you can vote on !:

1: Petrov Defense (seems to be all the rage at the GM levels now) 1. e4, e4; 2. Nf3, Nf6

2. Open Ruy Lopez ( A favorite of Viktor Korchnoi): 1. e4, e4; 2.Nf3, Nc6; 3.Bb5, a6: 4. Ba4, Nf6; 5.0-0, Nxe4

3. Tarrasch Defense (Still popular from time to time): 1. d4, d5; 2.c4, e6; 3.Nc3, c5

4. Queen's Gambit Accepted ( played by many GMs on down) 1. d4, d5; 2. c4, dxc4

I will leave this post and poll open for 6 days and then I shall let everyone know the opening that we will be sparring on ! I am thinking 8-10 players with a standard 30d+2 Input, as usual is always welcomed and IF I do not like ::ZZZZZZZZZZZZap::

I like playing thematic in openings that I don't play every day. As I play 1.d4 more often than 1.e4, and only trot out 1.e5 against 1.e4 a minority of the time, either of your 1.e4 e5 openings pleases me for the thematic.
