Next opening for our thematic!

Post by jjones » Tue May 17, 2005 11:32 pm

Hello all!!

I want to start another Thematic match by next Monday and Id like my fellow Slow-Chess players opinion as to which opening it should be.
I have narrowed it down to three(3) I think will be fun to play so please vote in the poll or post your response here! :)
I am going to stop the poll on Fridday, so on Saturday I will anounce the opening and pist it in the Game sectoins for folks to soign up!
I hope to get a good 6-10 players for a standard 30d + 2 day time control.
Here are the openings:

1) Classical French: 1. e4 e6; 2. d4 d5; 3. Nc3 Nf6

2) Vienna Game: 1. e4 e5; 2. Nc3

3) Sicilian, 4-Knights: 1. e4 c5; 2. Nf3 Nc6; 3. d4 cxd4; 4. Nxd4 Nf6; 5. Nc3 e6

Id love all and any input so we can have another fun and learning thematic!
Thnaks to you all ! :)

I'd be tempted to enter a Classical French thematic, which is unfortunate, as I have too many games going right now at the other sites where I play.

I'm not fussed which one wins to be honest although despite its many transpositions i wouldn't mind the vienna game

I would favour the vienna game because of its' variability. Count me in for it.
