Hello all my fellow lovers and players of the marvelous game.art of Chess:)
I am looking for suggestions of an excellent manual or 2 for Endgame works? I have more than enough opening and middle game books and others, but I need work badly on my endgames and have decided it is time to start learning to improve them!
Any help would be great and so appreciated ( plus, if I get the books suggested, the ones recommending do NOT get a jump start from ye old ZAPP STIK (great incentive to help me, I think
thanks so much and I love this site and my friends that I play and chat with! ( Gratuitous sucking up I know, but Hey, why not?!

Dear jjones,
I also have to improve my endgame, and I started with the pawn endgames.
This book has been recommended in the best German Chess magazines:
Ka. Müller/Lamprecht: Secrets of Pawn Endings
Müller is a German Grandmaster, and known for his endgame skills,
Written in English, so good for everyone on the site.
It's the best book, I've ever read on such endgames. There's not much experience needed but it seems like, if I learned everything in this book, I can even play against masters. (Of course every position is different)
It helped me a lot and will help me even more, if I got the time to study.
For good reviews study the amazon site
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/de ... s&n=507846
(I'm not connected with amazon in any way. Feel free to buy it anywhere you want, if you want to buy it.)
The price is ok 16,50 Dollars (or 28 Euros).
Take a look at the book at your local dealer, if he's got it.
For me the book is perfect.
So for the pawn endings. I'm also interested in recommendations on other endgame topics!
