Hi I just wanted to let you know that Pete Massengill, who was known as Peterpawn here passed away last July, I know he enjoyed playing here and played until his health had gotten to where it wouldn't allow it.

Sorry for the delay in posting this but I just found out today.

And my list of chess friends decreases by one. I guess I'll never get that rematch he promised...

May his family be comforted and his games be remembered. He was a fine player and a good friend.

thank you so much for the news, I always enjoyed playing him, though he usually "Zapped" me time after time..
I tip my Zapp Stik to him and hope he is resting well, he shall be remembered very fondly here!

Peterpawn I played several times.

He set an example for us all in his courteous play and speech. He will be missed.
