Is it possible to mate with a king and 2 knights versus a king? I have been told that it is impossible but i dont believe it? So can it be done :?

It can't be forced, your opponent has to go into a corner willingly. It can be done with knight/bishop or two bishops though.

2 knights + king against king is inpossible, but 2 knights + king againdt king + pawn is in theory possible.

No, Greg is right. Two knights can mate if the lone king plays stupid. You're right about the pawn, though. See Troitzky_Line.pdf and SecondTroitzkyLine.pdf at http://markalowery.net/Chess/Downloads/ ... Index.html for all the details.

Two Knights Mate

I have heard in can be done. However, being a 4th Degree Knight, I would much more prefer the shadowgirl defense.
