Why have two logins?

Why have two logins?

I am fairly new here, so there may be few people who do not know the answer to this question. Why do I have to sign in twice if I want to both make moves in my games and make posts on this board? Is there any plan to eventually have one sign in for the whole site?

as its the same log in name and password its not to much of a problem to me plus i use the remember log in details options
