I have seen in the profiles of people who post more information than I have been able to put about myself. Can anyone help me?

There are two profile screens, one for net-chess, searchable under user info, and the other for this board. To modify the net-chess one, there's the My Profile link on the main page. To change the forum information, you have to log into the forum and click on the Profile buttom at the top.

That's about all I know!
