When a player times out does thier opponent get a win ?

You will recieve 1 point in the match, but your record and rating will not be afftected unless the game has gone past ten moves.

Thanks for Your reply. Doesn't this make it easy for someone losing badly to just time out and nefariously alter the ratings ...!?

If you beat someone is 10 moves you're probably rated so much higher than your opponent that it wouldn't matter anyway.
The player that times out always gets a loss no matter how many moves were made, so there's no motive to time out.
