issues with comments

Post by leonine » Wed Apr 14, 2004 8:20 am

2 minor issues....

Sometimes in the new viewing format, the comments made by players show up reversed (ex: My opponent says "hi and gl" and it shows up as if I had said it).

Anyone else seeing this?

Also, what is your policy on policing aliases? I've just joined a match that includes a new player with a alias that has the potential to be very offensive. I, personally, am more offended by players who join matches and dont show up to play, but wanted to bring it to your attention before it became an issue.

...enjoy the site very much and thanks in advance

Offending username

Post by muabdib » Wed Apr 14, 2004 9:30 am

Hi leonine,

next move the comments will be re-reversed. Indeed it happens - but nothing to be worried about. And yes indeed, the username of your opponent is offending and offensive. I believe Greg will take care of that. If I were you I'd just stop playing him and hopefully everybody does.

I've already taken care of the user in question, but I still need to time out his games though.

I'll have a look at the comment issue, I hadn't noticed it.

Saving notes without making a move

Post by ramprasad » Thu Apr 29, 2004 11:07 pm

Greg:

Sometimes I analyze the position and decide on a few things, ideas candidate moves etc., but I am not ready to make the move yet, since I have time.

Is it possible for me to save my notes to myself in those cases?

Thanks
Ram
