averating

Post by katchum » Wed Mar 17, 2004 6:29 am

I now have something like 1750 averating and I never seem to get it higher, I always play against 2400x>2000 players.

So do I really have to play against 2700 or something to get it up?

Katchum,

it is just the law of averages : you now have played +/- 350 games, and your averating is 1800. if you have a result against someone with a rating of 2150 (= 350 points higher than your averating), your averating will increase with .... 1 point !

so : if you want an averating of 2000 (which i'm trying to reach these days), you'll need to have 350 results against players with rating 2200 !

or, you could start with a new account of course...

good luck,
pe
