First impressions on the 15 player/4round robin tournament..

Post by jjones » Sun Jan 11, 2004 12:25 pm

Hey fellow Chessites :)

Well, I have done some work on the opening that we started this huge 4 round-robin tournament as of Friday..and as of today-Sunday, 1-11-2004 at Noon with what opening moves I pulled form the games that a first move that was played (Yes, there are a few which have not made the first move yet) here is how those first moves broke down:

1.e4: 114

2.d4: 105

3. c4: 17

4. Nf3: 6

5. g3: 5

6. b3: ; 1. b4; 1. Nc3: 1

As you can see, very diversified thus far, and as soon as the other players make their moves, I shall update this opening move list!

I will also be giving everyone a breakdown of the openings used, though this might take a while as you can imagine with over 400 games to breakdown!

Keith Stuart is doing me a huge favor and breaking all the players down by their ratings, so we get a good idea of the tournament;s strength!! I do knowit is rather high, we had some "heavy hiters" in this one!!
So in short, this will be veryintersting for participants and non-participants as well!
The match # is : M 1073774159, so check it out!~!
