Tournament Time Question
Tournament Time Question
In regards to the tournament, has there been any definite say about what the time increment will be once we've hit 60 moves?

Do you have a game reaching 60 moves yet??
If so list the game number and i'll have a look as adding time woud proably be easier done on a game by game basis
Thanks
Thanks for the info. I was just wondering because in one of my games I have a 20+ day advantage and in another I have a 10+ day advantage. I'm not concerned, but time advantage is part of the strategy so it is helpful to know these things.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Most games here however do not have time advantage as a major factor because each move adds more time to the clock
Very few games are played with zero time added and most that are like this are blitz games with 5 or 10 mins each
Just for completeness, please view game g1059940293. Here, I have a 25 day advantage so my opponent is going to time out well before I ever would. In this case, how much time would he get if we hit 60 moves? Will he ever get an increment since he is so far behind?gmiller wrote:There won't be an automatic time increment, I'll just add more time if it looks like it's going to need it. I decide how much on a game by game basis.
E.g. If your time is at 1 day left, but your opponent has 20 days left, don't expect much time to be added.
Thanks

To be honest i doubt it would reach 60 moves each anyway if it does i think it is safer to say the position would need to be looked at then as it is way to early to tell who is winning at this stage (allthough you have the better positin in my opinion)sumdeus wrote:Just for completeness, please view game g1059940293. I understand what you're saying. Thanks again. I completely intend on winning whether by mate or time and it looks pretty good for me so far.keithstuart wrote:To be honest i doubt it would reach 60 moves each anyway if it does i think it is safer to say the position would need to be looked at then as it is way to early to tell who is winning at this stage (allthough you have the better positin in my opinion)sumdeus wrote:Just for completeness, please view game g1059940293.
