The archive is stored in a table just like the active games are, but regurgitated in PGN format (the end date/time and ratings are in the table but not the ouput, but that can be changed). But rather than adding a search for certain openings, etc, I'd rather just allow a complete download of all games so that they could be imported into Chessmaster, Fritz, or any other game and you could do your searches that way.
Um, yeah
There is something I do all the time:
I click on all my games, go to a game, click on the match link.
It would be really nice if the match link were available from "All my games"
Just a thought... Thanks for asking the question!

Re: PGN
alepheins is right!, when I import web-page and convert the pgn to my dragon-data-base it does not bring the date across , all my games are dateless , as well, the "draws" show up as incompleted games because the pgn header is not correct , and often when a "pawn-promotion" is in an endgame , the pgn does not translate correctly to show Q , or Rook, or Knight.alepheins wrote:Hi Greg,
I'd like to see the 'PGN'-output being more like PGN. Especially the missing game termination marker produces errors when importing the resulting file. Adherence to the 'seven tag roster' etc. would also be nice.
These are minor inconvieniences, but when dealing with large data bases and many games, they become a nuicance. [/quote]

Greg,
The ordering in the headers is important.
The order you should keep is:
[Event "m1064443877"]
[Site "net-chess.com"]
[Date "2003.11.18"]
[White "tellymetwise"]
[Black "keithstuart"]
[Result "1-0"]
[WhiteElo "1800"]
[BlackElo "2419"]
[Board "g1064443877"]
Problems that will pop-up are, missed rating, site etc if you don't.

Thanx for reacting that fast ! Now looks fine to me, but there are two faults which happen at times:gmiller wrote:The archvie search (both advanced and normal) should now conform as to the PGN standard. Let me know if I missed anything.

I've seen this with keith's games too, but only 1 or 2 moves per game within a short period of time. Total of 14 games out of a lot more then 14 games. Probably some chance you made and undid or updated the day after.gmiller wrote:Do these just appear on older games, or are there some newer ones (e.g. past couple months) that have them too? This may be a problem I've already corrected as I don't see how these errors could occurr with the current source code. The old games can't be fixed (easily).
Well, eraymond, I was searching for games with mistakes ...eraymond wrote:wow !! alepheins, it is very flaterring that you check my games
But seriously: The errors in the newer games (last months) seem to come from wrong entered moves in thematics. Strange that in the game window the notations are correct, only the PGN is wrong.
