login problem
login problem
To Greg: still blocked even when recovering and using the registered password. Been a player for 17 years and never had this happen before. It appears to be some sort of hack job! I have no idea how to fix it...hate to lose my chess buddies.

Re: login problem
Looks like your password was changed recently. It's the same as it was before, but with 44 added to the end of it.

Re: login problem
Hi John!
A couple of us were wondering about you, old chum. It's not like you to vanish for so long.
I was concerned especially because of the horrible ice-storm(s) that you had down east! As a matter of fact, I was going to send you an email yesterday, prior to seeing your other post in the Forum. Knowing you're okay, and what the problem is/was is a relief.
I was going to send an email to the other players in the ABC 2016 Tournament, and let them know what was going on, but now that I see Greg has (hopefully) discovered the problem, I'll wait a day or two to see if you can get back to the games as Johnb.
Glad to see you're not an ice-cube, old buddy!
Regards to Peggy, and see you soon!
- Cliff.

Re: login problem
Thanks Cliff. I tried Greg's 'solution' several times...to no avail. Like I said on my second post...it looks like some sort of hack job. I'm stymied. Any way, for now I'm johnbw.
Hope things are good with you...John.

Re: login problem
To Greg: I changed it when the other one wouldn't let me in under my original name (johnb). Stiill didn't work so I changed my name to johnbw and rejoined. Starting from scratch after all my years as johnb. Not happy!
Re: login problem
I used the new password and got in ,but when I send my move a login page comes up.
Re: login problem
I can login as johnb with my new password, make a move but when I press send I get a page that asks me to login. Have I been hacked?

Re: login problem
Hi Greg. I've tried the 3 possible solutions that you suggested with no success. I am able to access my game page but when I press 'send' a page that says "please use the following form to login" comes up and around I go again to no avail. I feel quite disappointed as I've played 3572 games since the year 1999 and made some very nice chess friends.
Just wondering, have you run into a problem like this before?
Best, John
