Site newcomer or potential danger...?

Hi all! (Especially Greg!)
There's a newcomer (?) to the site, by the nick of yapedkef' who seems to be a bit puzzling...
He joined four days ago, on January 30. He has zero games in play, and has played in zero games, unsurprisingly.
This seems to fly in the face of the normal tendency of 'newbies' who join, because the site is free and they want to play some chess!
They enter one or more tournaments with haste, and they like the site an stay, or more often then not, can't handle the ego-bruising or time involved and quit.
They do not join and not play, at least a game or two.
However, yapedkef has posted in four of the seven Forums. No questions or comments, though.
Merely advertisements for a Laser Projector, and some other things.
I would not advise clicking on any of the links he gives though. I haven't, out of fear of what I'm letting in. Hackers, etc. are everywhere these days.
He may be a harmless salesman, of a sort, but really , do we want that here?
I think it would be advisable for Greg to look into this.
Over to you, Greg!
Thanks,
Cliff.
