Playing Against Our Net-Chess Server Engine ?

Our Net-Chess Server Engine Causes Me Stress ! !

While awaiting for my opponents to move in my few games here,
and also in my many other games at other sites,
I chose to play against Our Net-Chess Server Engine.

Has anyone else ever done so ....????

My questions .....

Is This a Blitz Chess Only Playing Engine ... ? ? ?

Although I chose the maximum allowed "seconds-per-move" at 8 .....

Does The Net-Chess Server Engine allow us to take any longer to make a move ....??

I thought not .... so I stressed-myself-out trying to make my moves before being timed-out !

Anyway .... being the "Marlin Perkins Explorer" type-person that I am ..... I plan to find out !

I just thought that maybe someone else here may have had some prior experiences and Wished to Share ... ? ? ?

Hey Y'All .....
I Think I Got My Answer ....... ! ! !

I was able to beat-up on Our Net-Chess Playing Server Engine
playing Black and using my favorite defense against The Ruy Lopez .... [1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 Nc6 3.Bb5 Nf6] ,
one of the "Berlin Defense" lines !

In case anyone else here may be wondering about Our Net-Chess Playing Server Engine's stipulation ,
regarding how many seconds you have to make a move .....

Don't Worry ! :D ..... and Don't Be Stressed Like I Was ! ! !

From what I can tell ...... You Can Take as much time as you wish ......
but either way ....... Always Play Strong ! :D

Happy Chess ! ! !

Yea, you can use as much time as you want, the seconds per move is just for the engine's time limit. The engine is the GNU Chess Engine.

I just payed the server for the first time in a year or so. I was losing as I always do when I play the server, so I forced the server into the "3 move repetition " rule. However, the game didn't end. It just kept on going. I stopped playing after about 10 repetitive moves. Does the server not recognize this rule?
After playing here since 2004 and playing the server at lest 100 times I finally didn''t lose, but I was denied my due.
I'm just horsing around with the "denied my due" but It really didn't acknowledge the rule.

Like YOU Langelli,
I TOO was "Horsing Around" as I played against Our Net-Chess Server Engine Here,
and just like your discovery ....

I ran into Another Misfortune !

I Was Not Able To Promote My 7th-rank Pawn into a Queen ! ! !

The instructional directions tell us to input [type] into the move-box ....
"e8=Q", or "c8=Q", or "d8=Q" ..... whichever the case may be ....
and I'm guessing quotations are not required :?:

But in my case .... No matter what I typed or inputted .....
No Promotion Ever Transpired or Pawn ever Promoted .....
It just kept re-entering what I Had Already Typed before .....

I'm a bit confused .....?????? :?: :?: :?:

I suppose all that we can do now is .....
to wait for Our Always Able Leader Greg to come to Our Rescue :?: :?: :?: :?:

Let's Watch and Wait ...... :D

I So Much Like To Win ! ! ! !

It'll never recognize the three move repetition rule since the engine doesn't know the history of the game beyond the current position. Every time you move it just loads the position with your move and begins analyzing it. But you know you got a draw.

Promotion should work, I'll have to look into it. I believe if you use the mouse to make the move, it always promotes to queen.
