Chess opening theory web site(s)

Post by cornstalk » Mon Jan 14, 2013 1:58 pm

I would like to call attention to a new website, collection of 32 websites, really, devoted to chess opening theory. See chesstheory.org, after which you can navigate to any one of 32 content areas that together span the entirety of the chess openings.

The site is really a web app, which enables users easily to specify their repertoires, make comments on positions, and attach decorations (like "!") to moves. The site remembers everything from one visit to the next. There will eventually be "public repertoires," which all visitors will be able to highlight and explore, both for White and for Black, on each of the 32 sites. However for the time being, there is only the very small fragment of a public repertoire for Black, visible on alekhinedefense.org. To see it, go to settings, highlist something, and select "public black repertoire." Also on alekhinedefense.org, you can see an example of submitted analysis.

Check out Website, Introduction, to get a description of what the site does.

Best to all.
