Well, first off I should make my comment on the draft order:

Nyah! Nyah!

Next, I'll mention that heyuneverno has also joined! We need one more player to get under way, then the captains should set a weekend for the draft. This weekend is out for me, since it's the Canada Day weekend!

So the updated players list is:

Players

energy (2819) (Nils - Norway)
cmulligan (2394) (Chris - USA)
pawnraider (2337) (Paul- Germany)
johnrbrown (2305) (John Brown - Canada)
johnb (2284) (John White - Canada)
ecperreault (2253)
redketchuplover (2240) (USA)
mi (2217) (michel - France)
pwillows (2086) (Pete- Australia)
heyuneverno (2036) (Jim - USA)
jsiebert (1765) (Judy - USA)

:)

Before selection starts;I should mention that my ratings provisional, based on 1 win,so I can't guarantee my ability to live up to it. Wouldnt want anyone to be misled by numbers that'll probably be changing rapidly as I finish more games anyway.

I think the team fortunate enough to get me should be named " The Awesome Alliance of Awesomeness" or Triple-A for short. Some good names for opposing teams would be; "We're not worthy", "Please, don't hurt me", "Here to bask in the glow of Chris's awesomeness" & maybe "I want to be like Chris when I grow up"...just a few suggestions...

Sincerely,
Chris

We still need to more people to join, or even 5 more to get to 15, but we need 2 more for 12.

Lots of free time

Post by ecperreault » Fri Jul 01, 2011 10:09 pm

With the opposition I got matched with in the 2011 Tourney here, I will have no games left to play very shortly.
Lots of free game time to expend on the Zapper Tourn.

8) Calm yourself grasshopper.I sense a disturbance in your energies. You must calm the conflicts within yourself and upon the chessboard.I understand that the journey towards enlightenment is difficult. I will; however, gladly give you as much aid as you are capable of accepting.

First; you must understand that one does not "win" the game or "move" the pieces. You must strive to become one with the pieces and learn that the game is actually a voyage you undertake in partnership with the pieces.Learn to understand the pieces and they will tell you where they need to be.Learn that the pieces eddy and flow about the board as water eddies and flows around rocks in a stream, only they are both the water and the rocks...and the stream also.So meditate upon water and rocks.Become one with them, until the board becomes a clear stream with water gently flowing around and over the rocks as the wind blows through the trees.Feel the wind...then also become one with the wind...and the trees too. When you have done this, you will understand that the game is really a metaphor for the larger universe around us.In becoming one with the greater whole you have already "won" making the game meaningless and unneccesary. So then, log in,bring up all your games against me and resign...hope this has been helpful to you... :D

Angelofthenight is in so that should be 12 now. I would like to wait another week or so, in case there are invites that I sent out to people who would care to join.
