I hate it when........

Post by langelli » Thu Jan 10, 2008 9:53 pm

I hate it when someone who has been making 2-3 moves a day for weeks all of a sudden stops moving because he/she has lost a major piece, or lost positional advantage. There ought to be a penalty when it's obvious someone is doing this.

This complaint will always be with us.
There is no way that we can uniformly impose good form on every player.

As long as they're not exceeding the time limit I don't see a problem.

Abandoning a game in a clearly lost position is against the rules. Normally I deduct enough time so they time out in a couple of weeks if they don't continue.

I know you're right, redketchuplover, but it's frustrating none the less.

rating points

tjensen,

cross your fingers that your opponent gets a rating boost in the next 48 days. So your rating will reflect a win against a higher rated player, and you win extra points.

By the way, nice game!
