Is there any way other than counting via 'All my games'? Now I have quite a few in progress it would be useful to keep an eye on this figure to establish a realistic upper limit for 30d+2d games.

I thought I was the only one frustrated that I have to keep counting the "All My Games" page........ :(

Well, I ended up joining so many games I gave up trying to determine an upper limit before I reached it! To me playing a large number of games has disadvantages and advantages depending on how you think about it: on the up side you are more likely to always have some moves to make, and are more likely to develop pattern recognition faster (especially if you are practicing a particular type of opening or combo); on the downside it is harder to retain all the strategic game threads (the notepad comes in very handy for this). I guess it's up to the individual to play and find the approach which suits them best. Addictive though, isn't it?

I'm not sure how it's very useful, but I added a "Total Games" at the top of the page.

Hi Greg, thanks. When I originally made this post I was trying to fnd a way of monitoring the number of games so I didn't get carried away..er since then I obviously have :) It's no big deal but I'm grateful you've added this; it's the chessic equivalent of stepping on the bathroom scales and saying 'crikey'!
