Re: Fischer Russians Combine back

Looking at your two losses, they both went to 60 moves, you started with 75 days and your opponent used about 40 days = 115 days of think time available to you. Or just about 1 move every two days.

Re: Draw by repetition.

The three move rule is automatic. The mistake a lot of people make is thinking that because the board looks the same three times, that counts as a three move repetition, but it has to be the same state: same position, same player to move, same en-passent status.

Using computer analysis isn't allowed for games here at net-chess. I can't imagine any reason for allowing it. Sure, some people might cheat, but if you want to know you're playing a computer you can just play against your own.

Blue - Total number of games finished that year
Green - Total number of games finished that year not including time outs under 10 moves

The colors are assigned completely at random, then alternate for additional games against the same opponent. Yea, it could be better, but the only real way to be fair is to play an even number of games against each opponent.

What Energy says is mostly right, if your opponent's rating goes up, you'll get more points. Of course, this is assuming your own rating doesn't change, if yours goes down you'll get even more, but if it had gone up you might get less. But the actual number is usually not significant in practice, an...

Timeouts are a pain, but you just have to learn to ignore them. If someone is refusing to move in a completely lost position, I'll reduce the time down so it's over quickly. But I think most of the timeouts are due to people signing up and deciding they don't really want to play.
