IIRC, it's not automaticly a draw. The player with an advantage has to ask for it to be ruled a draw, at which point the TD may make it a draw, add some time to the clock(s), or make them play as is. If the game continues on the act of requesting a draw from the TD is interpreted to be an extended d...

The rules also said I may add time for long games. The USCF also has a similar rule which allows a player to claim a draw (or have time added) if his opponent has little or no chance of producing checkmate. Which is in line with the idea that the clock's priamary goal is to keep the game moving.

Me vs. a 7 year old.

I just started playing OTB chess last week at a local deli. The time control was 30min/game. I was really impressed by this guy, he's only seven years old, and has only been playing for a year. He played two other games which he won, and he gets extra points for winning the last one because it was p...

Do these just appear on older games, or are there some newer ones (e.g. past couple months) that have them too? This may be a problem I've already corrected as I don't see how these errors could occurr with the current source code. The old games can't be fixed (easily).

You may have received an error "SAN Syntax Error" when trying to castle, the problem has been fixed now. But you may need to hold down SHIFT and press your browser's RELOAD (or REFRESH) button while viewing a game in order to get the update.

Qc3 attacks both the knight and threatens to trap the rook with Qxg7. White can come out a knight for a rook ahead after it's all said and done.

Those are some of the busiest times. I haven't analyzed the logs in quite some time (at least at year), but IIRC: traffic starts building around 7am EST, and continues to build up until about 11am EST, then drops quickly in the afternoon, remaining steady until after midnight.
