Losing on time

I will be absent for quite a while, don't know exactly how long it will be. Will be busy in France without access to the net. So I won't ask Greg to add time to my reflection time, because I am playing on my own risk when a vacation feature doesn't exist. So may be I will time out in a few games and...

Re: For my French friends

Sorry, should have translated myself or written in English, I just have been visiting our region with French students. Talking French all the time, that's why:-) Your translation is perfect!

Je l'ai eu sous ce lien. Cette chanson fait déjà culte en France toutefois c'est pas mon truc à moi. Le rythme est assez abasourdissant et le mec...j'en ai vu de plus beaux:-) Je suis trop âgé pour aimer:-(

Re: Game of the Month #2

Sorry the opening diagram should be as follows [fen]rnbqkb1r/p2p1ppp/4pn2/1ppP4/2P5/5N2/PP2PPPP/RNBQKB1R w KQkq - 0 1[/fen] leading us to the Blumenfeld counter-gambit: Dus-Chotimursky variation. Even more aggressive than the Volga Gambit mentioned above by mistake. To show an eventual line and cont...

Re: Game of the Month #2

Excellent Josh, no objections only a few additional remarks - my first name is Hans not Dimitri:-) - it honors my opponent to resign right after 22.Bh5. A lot of players would have continued and would have suffered from a totally lost position. he didn't, so thanks again. - for all those looking aft...

Re: Josh game of the day

Exactly, this whole line is leading (after the sacrifice) every move to unbalanced positions where you don't have the time to prepare something long in advance - the whole board is rocking and turned into a minefield. And yep as Josh said in OTB this line would be fatal for any Black player being no...

Re: Josh game of the day

Would you (concerning my c4) accept my explanation and let's see which one will be given by Josh: This whole line of the Sveshnikov (Sicilian) where White sacrifices their Bishop on b5 will not turn into a disaster for White if and when they succeed in blocking or at the very least in hampering the ...

Re: Champions League next season

Btw Greg why not joining the Champions League with a Net-Chess team? As the season will last 2 years this would be a chance to make Net-Chess known all over the ICCF world. I could give you all the details for registration.

Blitz at FICS for Net-Chess members

Who would be interested in playing blitz tournament at FICS? It would only work by individual challenges for not letting join non netchess members. What about the following time controls 5 min 10 min 15 min or even 15 min? We would need somebody to gather the results and publish them here in the foru...

Re: Zapper 2012 Board ONE round ONE is up :)

What about a signing bonus for team players? I just want to point out that this bonus should be up for negotiations. I therefore would need somebody acting as a middleman between the different teams I am negotiating with. I am paying 10% of the transfer fee:-)

Re: How about a 'Grand Opening'

having a good supply of non-copyrighted problems, so if anyone has a source I'll happily add it back. As a matter of fact I've got thousands of those. There are positions stemming from master games played in the past without any comments nor annotations and could therefore be published without copy...

Re: David S White

Hi, ecperreault your game as White was rather suicidal I mean you threw yourself under the bus called David:-)A predator like my friend David doesn't need any invitation to swallow that bite:-) However I think your game as Black was much better, your move 1...a6 being played by many GMs like GM Tony...
