Re: Favorite Openings?!

The lower your rating the less important are the opening moves. Computer analysis shows that at my level I make weak moves and blunders more often than I care to admit. What is the use of playing the opening like a strong GM and then playing the rest of the game like a 1600 patzer ? " Well stated I...

Hey all.. We all have a favorite opening or 2 that we prefer to play as White, and as Black..what are yours>? What are some openings that you have tried but can't seem to get the "feel" of?! As WHiye, I play 1.e4 and 1.d4 almost 50-50..or depending on my mood. Against the E pawn, I like the 2..Nc6 S...

Games analyzed, annotated

Hey all If anyone has a game they really liked, and it was a good game, I would annotate it for you. Annotating is analyzing the game,, through the opening and then explaining the middle game and different avenues of play, as well as looking at each move and seeing if something was better or missed ...

Those are all good Ketchup, but Id like to add: Play the opponent NOT the rating! With each of your opponent's move ASK YOURSELF, what are any threats, and how do I defend against threat. Stay true to yourself, play your best openings, regardless of the opponent. TAKE YOUR TIME! We have plenty of it...
