Journey With Tough Goodbyes Along the Way!

With the passing of a great friend, jjones, who gave me such friendly and intuitive conversation, I have come to the decision that I need to make huge sacrifice and permanently move to where my father resides. He has been fighting with a specific heart condition and a time frame on his life is unkno...

Re: Minor Drawbacks in My-Games-Table

Some time ago Greg made the entries in the My-Games-Table sortable by clicking the column name. Great! :D But unfortunately ordering by Time Remaining only sorts the list lexicographically. It would be great if it really would be sorted by remaining time. Furthermore it seems that if you have more ...

The loss of points in rating is probably due to the fact that you drew to a lesser rated opponent, and in the eyes of the ratings you should have had the win. Something to that nature - lol!

Material only matters in the calculation of an advantage. As redketchuplover put it, "A draw is a draw"!

0-0

You are probably using the letter O to indicate castling, but try using the number 0 as all moves should be indicated by a number. I tried to set up this opening using the number 0 and it worked.

Greetings, I believe that the bishop is stronger to this point, it has more freedom to move and can protect its pawns easier than the knight can. The result can be a win for black since black has a slight advantage (I think, at least from seeing many end games with similar situations), but a draw ma...

Also, you shouldn't confuse ratings on this site with real ratings. Ratings here are vastly inflated.[/quote] I was actually us...

Do you mean, flipping through the moves of the games with the interactive board? If so, I had this problem once before, try switching to a different board mode!

Greetings ghorn,

I understand the site as this is not my first username, by to answer your question of why 3000, it is because that is the highest possible rating a grandmaster can get.

Answer!

Greetings ironbutterfly,

The reason for my increase in rating was the fact that I have accomplished 2 recent wins today against sanbarrett (2339), check my rating history to verify. Hope this helps!
