doping

Hello, in Flanders (a part of Belbium) Chess is from the department of the minister of culture (Mr. Anciaux) and not under the minister of sport (Mr. anciaux, indeed the same minister, but an other department). So if we take some doping is it illigal? Or do we have to handel like the international l...

Hello, For the moment I'm playing on two sites: this one and gameknot. Gameknot doesn't have a forum and if you wanne play moer than 12 games you have to pay a membership. As a 'new'-player it is indeed difficult to get started. But you need patience, everybody had this period. Every player want to ...

Since I'm a member, I went 3 times on vacation. And I didn't had any problem with timeout, because I had days enough. I only wait for starting new games until I'm back from holidays, so I have days enough for a new holiday.

Hello,

It 's not only a problem on this site. Everyone had this problem, also I. I never play games for 30 + 1 or 2. That solves a part of the problem.

Hello,

I didn't had this exercise. But I won. I bought a book about endgames, and should learn about. It is more dificult in an official game then computerchess: more stress and less time. Now, in our club they do this exercise for the kids. I should go myself. :(

Hello,

My opponent took the last piece at move 58; and if my caunting is correct, it will be finished at move 87. Only 29 moves for someone who doesn't know the theory is pretty good. But it is a good lesson, I can recomand it to everyone.

knight + bishop

Hello, I'm playing a game: I have a king + bishop + knight and my oponent king. In oficial games it has to be finished after 50 moves, or it's a draw. In net-chess I don't know? My oponent inmidiatly asked a draw, which I ignored. I don't know the theory of it and my oponent also. Now 19 moves furte...

I 've a game with timeremaining 171d 17h 59m 33 s. Personily that's to long, but it's a resault of our choice of timecontrol. I hope the game will be finished by normal playing and no time-out.

when to resign?

Hello,

I'm playing some games that already is won for me, but my oponent don't want to resign. Or he let the time run out or he is playing on untill it's mat. It is frustrating but there is nothing I can do about it. Is resign not more honourable???

absent for a week

Hello,

saterday I'll go skiing for a week, and there is a chance I won't see a computer for a week. Normally I have time enough until I'm back. But will I get some timewarnings or even time-outs?

hi,

an other good book is:
fundamental chess endings
also from Karsten Müller and Frank Lamprecht

In Belgium it costs 30 euro, I do not know the price in US. It is also written in English. But is important to learn first pawnendings, and then the rest.

Hello,

My game against taff is finished 02/15/2005. He made a move and resigned at the same time. But the game is also in my gamelist and my time is still running. It's g1104609536; m110622268. I think it's the same problem.

Tnx
