I am in total agreeance with lousy on this subject. I play chess on this site because I wanted to play against humans. If I wanted to play a computer I would have bought a chess program and played that. I think that those who want to use chess engines should be allowed, but should be identified so t...

Herlocksholms boasts and claims "I have naturally high testosterones." Dcroll would rather wet the bed preferably to using the head. Beaumont drinks coffee to stay secure but offers inducements of money and liquor. Xmate on the contrary uses his natural ability. John Lennon said it simple and plain ...

Thankyou for your comments. I only used 5 days as an example. The time limits could range from 1 hour or 1 day to 100 days if a person wished. The idea is that each move is timed and that once a move is made the time is reset. So for example if I was playing a game that had a 5 day per move time lim...

Sometimes I wonder how life would be if we were not required to wee. No need for commercials on TV no stopping the car to run behind a tree and no agonising wait for the end of a movie. If we were not required to wee the smelly public lavatory would no longer be required by you or me. Splashing ones...

I think this idea is related to my post "Time Limits". Most games are played with a time limit of 30 days plus 2 days added per move. With such a time limit there is no need to suspend games or add extra time when you go on holidays. Most holidays are for two weeks with 30 days plus you can go on ho...

Time Limits
I sometimes find the time controls frustrating, especially when an opponent has a very high number of days to make a move and has obvioulsy abandoned the game. Waiting for the game to time out can be somewhat annoying. A solution to this would be for each move to be subject to a specific time limit ...

I do not usually reply to threads, however, I am confused with this one. The question posed is "Should we allow cheats on this site?" Most people have answered yes, why? I emphatically say no. The opinion is that using a chess engine is not cheating, so why the huge response to allowing cheats on th...

Opponent refuses to move
I am playing a person who is refusing to move or resign. We had two games, I resigned the first when it was completely obvious that I had no chance. In the second game my opponent has no chance but has stopped playing. They refuse to move or resign. I am more than happy for a person to continue play...
