For 29a I was considering castling queen side. That seems to accomplish the same thing as a6. Would this cause a problem?

Okay, I see mate most of the time if black moves the knight to d5. But I can't see mate if white moves the king to a1. Am I missing something?

But... if white does BxP, it would force QxB. Then white could capture the bishop with the pawn and there is no real advantage gained.

What about starting with N-K5? It would force the queen to move and would add an extra piece to the attack.
