2...d6
If I remember correctly 2...d6 was Fishers recommendation against the KG, so there should probably be some of his games to look at.

chess-engines
Well... I think it´s a great idea. And I can tell you all that playing chess with chess-engines against each other is big buisness nowadays. Just check out the PAL-tournament organized by chessbase. If I remeber correctly the first price in that tournament was 20 000 dollars.

Don´t resign to early.
I hate it when people resign early. It makes the win feel cheap.
Many many games have been resigned (some by me) when the game is not lost at all, and sometimes it even happens that people resign in winning positions.

Chessrules are not easy.
Found this in wikipedia about threefold repetition. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Threefold_repetition "In a game between grandmasters Anatoly Karpov and Anthony Miles, Karpov, with less than five minutes on his clock, claimed a draw by repetition after checking his scoresheet carefully, whereupon Mi...

Budapest gambit.
Does anybode know what the real problem is with playing the Budapest gambit? I have been playing it for sometime now, and it seems to me that its not unsound at all. I think its really good, and playing white against it can be a really scary experience. So if you have a line that you think is winnin...

the right spirit for playing blitz
Let me tell you what happend at my chessclub today. I was playing a blitzgame against a much stronger opponent, let´s just say that his rating is about 450 points higher then mine. The timelimit was 5 min, and I played very well. When both are clocks where about to run out, we had a position that wa...

Lets play a game for the human race!
 It would be very interesting to have another Human vs Computer match, i think. Perhaps we could all play the computer, by voting on the moves we like and the most popular move gets played. Simular games have been played, like "Kasparov Vs The World". Kasparov had alot of trouble winning that ...

Isn´t it so, that you can´t win on time if you don´t have winning material? I don´t know the FIDE-rules, but in every tournament I have played that has been the case. In this possition, in game g1059939532, if white ran out of time the game would be drawn since black does not have winning material. ...
