I object when admin continually adds time to my opponents clock. im referring to: g1105293153 . Three times my opponents clock has run down with only hours left on his clock. When he makes a move and suddenly has three days on his clock. As I understand the rules, A chess game ends in one of three w...

Re: Same Old Beef

Devil’s advocate here. I often play an into inferior position but have significantly more time then my opponent. In such positions I will quite deliberately “stall”. I don’t consider this to be poor sportsmanship when I do, or when I’m on the other side of the equation and my opponent does it to me....

I apologize to the room in general and to Brian in particular for my earlier outburst. Not for the sentiment, which I believe true, but for the way it was expressed. I don’t want to reopen the subject as it can’t lead to any useful end. Any attempt to do so will be ignored by me. I offer up the foll...

No Brian, actually it all goes back to you and your relentless and asinine conspiracy theories like the one you present here. And then you dragged Eugene into it. At least Eugene gave us new material every day. With you it’s the same crap over and over again. Get over it man.

Hi Brian, You recently ask me how long I’ve been playing chess, and as I started to form my reply I realized I wanted to say more than I could in the chat window. Hope no one minds if I answer here. I’m just going to chime in here because …well , I feel like it. I am not a tournament director and I am inclined to defer to Greg’s judgment in all matters. So I’m not disputing his right or reasons for making decisions as he sees fit. He has done an outstanding job of running this site. All Hail Gr...

The Navigation buttons do not work as described in my original post. At least not for me. I would like to see something like an analysis mode on the interface.
If a user could disable the MOVE button, and, if the piece NAVIGATION buttons could move the pieces forward AND BACK one move at a time, that would be quite usefull.
And thank you Greg for running this great site!

A question about thematic tours.

When posting a thematic tour... Is it ok to post a series of moves to allow the poster to achieve a clearly winning position on his first unforced move? Do we have any obligation to tell the community if we see such a tour on the start a game list? Or should we just let the unwary fall into the trap...
